Although a lot of Americans today would like to see the Saddam Hussein punished with death as he did to many innocent people, if the American government put Saddam under Capital Punishment it would make us just as bad as him. Do unto others as you would haven do unto you. I highly dissagree with Saddam Hussein in every way, shape, and form, but find that by killing him we, as a nation, would achieve nothing. Neverthless, I know that there are many people out there who would sleep better at night knowning that one of the worst tyrants in history was no longer alive, me being one of them, but what kind of an example would we be giving to other countries if we did kill him? How would this action reflect on the American government and how would this battle against terorism reglect in hisotry in following years?

True. Some oeople of Iraq still may fear him, even now until he is actually put to death.

The Death penalty should be reinstated in this case. The provisional authroity was not given the death penalty. I do not want to see Saddam live just because it will continue resistance and people will never feel safe until he is dead.
